Ronvé O’Daniel is a songwriter, lyricist, musical theater composer, playwright, and hip hop artist/cultural ambassador. As a musical theater songwriter, he has been a proud participant in the TheatreWorks Silicon Valley New Works Festival, the Johnny Mercer Writers Colony Residency at Goodspeed Theater, as well as the Eugene O’Neill National Music Theater Conference’s where he took home the ‘Georgia Bogardus Holof Lyricist Award’ – given to only one lyricist every summer who exemplifies a promising career in musical theater writing.
He wrote book, music and lyrics for the musical Once Upon a Rhyme (formally known as iLLA! A Hip Hop Musical) as well as The New Girl - a short children’s musical based off of stories from the bestselling book series Chicken Soup for the Soul. Ronvé’s music was recently featured in the Letters to the President concert at New York City’s historical Great Hall to celebrate Cooper Union’s 160th anniversary.
Additionally, Ronvé was featured as a performer and writer for Rafael Casal and Daveed Digg’s (Blindspotting and Hamilton) #BARS Workshop at The Public Theater. As a recording hip-hop artist, he’s been featured in XXL Magazine, HipHopDX.com, and Allhiphop.com.
